2nd Annual LA Kids Book Festival Returns to West Hollywood Park

West Hollywood, CA – April 2024

Press Release

The American Born Chinese Foundation and the City of West Hollywood is delighted to announce the return of the LA Kids Book Festival for its second year, following a spectacular inaugural event. This festival, a meaningful collaboration with the American Born Chinese Foundation, will once again be hosted at the beautifully renovated West Hollywood Park. The event promises to enrich the cultural landscape of Los Angeles by celebrating the vibrant world of children's literature and promoting literacy among young readers. "

The return of the LA Kids Book Festival marks an important day in our community calendar," says Bonnie Hyde, Founder and CEO of the American Born Chinese Foundation. "Last year's festival set a high benchmark, and this year, we aim to exceed it, bringing even more exciting opportunities for children and families to fall in love with reading and storytelling."

The festival will continue to offer a rich array of activities suitable for children of all ages, including live book readings by celebrated authors, interactive storytelling sessions, musical performances, and various arts and crafts activities. This year, the festival will also introduce new authors and illustrators, providing fresh perspectives and stories that captivate and inspire.

"We are proud to host the LA Kids Book Festival once again in our city," says city officials. "Books open incredible worlds to our children, and through this festival, we celebrate the power of stories to fire the imagination and encourage lifelong reading habits."

The LA Kids Book Festival is set to be an annual fixture, continuing to grow and evolve each year. It represents a cornerstone event in the city's cultural offerings, appealing to families, educators, and young readers alike. The festival venue, West Hollywood Park, offers a safe, vibrant environment where families can gather to enjoy the magic of books together.
